A Muslim solon on Friday urged his fellow Mindanaoan solons, who earlier surrendered their pork barrel funds, to ask the Executive department to allocate it for peace and development in Mindanao.
Anak Mindanao Rep. Mujiv Hataman said it is high time for lawmakers to give its Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) for the rehabilitation of Mindanao. |

Hataman Speaks Out Against HR Killing |

A former human rights worker turned party-list representative yesterday denounced the killing of a colleague in Davao City last Tuesday afternoon as he called on Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to immediately put the killers behind bars and serve justice to the victim’s family.
Anak Mindanao Rep. Mujiv Hataman was shocked after learning the incident saying human rights workers do not deserve such fate because they are only helping to correct the maltreatment, neglect and exploitation against less fortunate people in the country. |

A Muslim solon yesterday vowed to forgo 100 percent of his annual pork allocation for next year on condition that Malacanang would back-out with the planned approval of new tax measures.
Anak Mindanao Rep. Mujiv Hataman said he is very much willing to sacrifice everything to ensure that the country can cope and survive the serious fiscal crisis confronting the cash-strapped government of which no less than President Arroyo had admitted. |

Mindanao lawmakers have endorsed on Tuesday the appointment of Maguindanao Rep. Simeon Datumanong to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) as they asked President Arroyo to designate qualified Muslim leaders to ambassadorial posts in Muslim countries saying their inclusion would satisfy Mindanaoans’ clamor for equal representation in the government.
Without preempting the President’s prerogative in appointing members of the Cabinet, Sulu Rep. Munir Arbison and Anak Mindanao Party List Rep. Mujiv Hataman believe that the expertise and decent reputation of the soft-spoken Datumanong can please the dismayed Mindanaoans after the non-inclusion of a Mindanao leader in the recent appointments. |
