The activity kicked off with a Fiesta Filipiniana held at Rotterdam on October 27, highlighted by a cultural presentation from a Germany-based cultural group Pilipino-German-American. Said activity was attended by around 300 Filipino migrants and their families.

October 29-30 was the Experts’ Meeting held at Utrecht, attended by migrant leaders from San Francisco, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands and the Philippines.

Daughter of overseas workers herself, Sitti Djalia will also give a talk on “The Gender Perspective on Migration, Peace and Development” during the European Filipino Migrants Conference on November 2, at Amsterdam, Netherlands, to be attended by Filipino migrants from all over the world.

Ms. Turabin will continue her stay in the Netherlands after the conference, and visit other countries in Europe for a series of forums and talks about Peace in Mindanao and also to give updates on the activities of both the Moro Human Rights Center and Anak Mindanao (AMIN) Party List.
