A Legislative Forum themed “Towards Forging a Mindanao Social Justice Agenda” was convened by the Office of Hon. Mujiv S. Hataman, Anak Mindanao (AMIN) Party List Representative, the Philippine Legislative Committee on Population and Development Foundation, Inc. (PLCPD) and the Alternative Law Groups (ALG).

Held at the Conference 1 and 2 of the Ramon V. Mitra Hall last February 11, 2008, said forum was attended by different organizations, to include SALIGAN, Pilipina Legal Resources Center (PLRC), Yellow Bus Line Union, MAPALAD, SAMACOKE (Davao City), Paglilingkod Batas Pangkapatiran Foundation, Inc. (PBPF) , Balay Alternative Legal Advocates for Development in Mindanaw, Inc. (BALAOD), and the Kaisahan Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Kanayunan at Repormang Pansakahan (KAISAHAN).  

Legislative Measures relevant to the Mindanao Social Justice Agenda were discussed during the forum, with representatives of abovementioned groups providing Orientations on the Human Security Act, Reproductive Health, House Bill 1718 (One Stop Shop), National Land Use Act, CARP Acceleration Bill and the Local Sectoral Representation.
