TURNOVER OF AMIN PARTYLIST INITIATED PROJECTS IN BASILAN |
 Inauguration Ceremony of the SCARBIDC FITS and Training Center and Turn-over Ceremony of the Farm Tractor
Last 16 April 2008, Sta. Clara Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Integrated Development Cooperative (SCARBIDC) inaugurated the SCARBIDC FITS and Training Center and caused the Turn-Over Ceremony of a brand new Farm Tractor awarded by the Department of Agriculture - Region IX.The two separate projects were awarded to SCARBIDC through the initiative of AMIN Partylist Representative MUJIV S. HATAMAN.
SCARBIDC FITS and Training Center was directly funded utilizing the Countryside Development Fund (CDF) of Congressman Mujiv S. Hataman while the awarded Farm Tractor was made possible through his intervention. The Farm Tractor is now being used by the cooperative in tending its more than 4,000 hectares of Rubber and Coconut Plantations located in Sta. Clara, Lamitan City, Basilan Province. The SCARBIDC FITS and Training Center serves as a Learning and Research Area for the farmers in Basilan who are in need of inputs on Rubber Development and other appropriate farming technologies viz a viz their desired cropping options.
 The Inauguration and Turn-Over Ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, local executives and heads of offices and agencies in Region IX as well as in the province of Basilan. Among those who are present are Lamitan Mayor Roderick H. Furigay, Mr. Edgardo Tabal - Division Chief Planning Officer of DA-RFU-IX, Mr. Sergio Abilla - Administrative Officer of DPWH-Basilan, Dr. Emilie C. Enriquez of the WESMARRDEC, Barangay Officials of Sta. Clara and the Board of Directors of SCARBIDC. Due to matters of great importance, Congressman Mujiv S. Hataman failed to attend the ceremony. However, a representative was sent on his behalf to grace the occasion.
 The recipient cooperative (SCARBIDC) is one of the Agrarian Cooperatives in Basilan with 1,421 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries, both Muslim and Christians who were once employees of the then UP-NDC Basilan Plantations. The projects were accepted by Mr. Domingo M. Narsico, SCARBIDC Plantation Manager and Mr. Elvis L. Tindoc, the Chairman of the Board.
The newly inaugurated projects are among the many projects initiated by Congressman Mujiv S. Hataman in the Province of Basilan which help strengthen and ramify the Peace and Development Agenda spoused by the AMIN Partylist for Basilan in particular and for Mindanao and all Mindanaons in general.
