A LETTER FROM AN AMIN CONSTITUENT
Note:

We found in the archives of the AMIN Legislative Office, a letter of a constituent from the Province of Basilan expressing gratitude to AMIN Representative Mujiv Hataman. The letter reflect the sentiments of those being extended support by AMIN. The AMIN Web Team deems it apropriate to publish this letter on the website to inspire people.

With all its deficiency in styling and grammar, this letter is published as it was written. After all,  the purity of intention and plain sincerity in spirit, always outweighs the form.

To wit:

Republic of the Philippines
Province of Basilan
Municipality of Lantawan
BARANGAY SWITCH YAKAL

HON. MUJIV HATAMAN
Congressman
ANAK Mindanao

S i r :

Peace be upon you!

Our heartfelt thanks to you for the road opening and regravelling of Farm to Market Road in our area at Switch Yakal to Campo Barn.

What a gladness and felicity during the construction of the said road. Since 1970 this is our dream "The Farm and Market Road" where in the residents have a hard time in bringing down their farm products walking 4 to 5 km. carrying heavy road passing slippery, hilly and zigzag road before they reach the highway. I was really touched and affected as they experienced several times the coldness and the night till dawn chasing the trip to arrived early in the so called "Tabuan" in Maluso, rain or shine.

For a past day, years and decades we are holpeless of our dreams. We approached several Congressman, governors, mayors and other government agencies but we failed several politicians are only good in promises. Thanks Lord for having you as Party List Congressman a young at that but so concern of his constituents. We salute and thank you for that we will never forget you for what you have done to our place. Sir, we are proud of your generosity, a true public servant, we are always behind to support you.

A 75 year old woman in the name of Babuh Saram cried out loud of joy, she said at last may naawa din sa atin, akala ko mamatay na lang ako di tayo magawan ng daan. (Our translation: she said, "at last there is someone who took pity on us, I thought I will die without seeing our road constructed" )

To you, your family thank you very much, may GOD shower you more graces, blessings and good health.

More power.

Very respectfully yours,

(SGD)
